  1. Dear 6th grades,
When you enter the 7th grade and you get Beauport house, you must follow the directions. First of all, you can’t chew gum in Mr. Destino’s class. If you do you get a lunch detention, but if you show up he’ll let you off with a warning. Another thing, if you fool around in Mr. White's class you get yelled at or sent to the principal. If next year Ms. Domohowski still does the blog post you can stay after and do it. If you have Ms. Kotylar and don't do your homework you have a lunch detention. So that's the advice I would give you for next year.

  2. A great piece of advice I would give potential sixth graders is to always pay attention in class and try your hardest. Always giving it your all in school is a great way to make a positive mark on yourself, your classmates, and your work. Your effort is valued among teachers and other staff members. Another piece of advice is to stay out of drama and other things that could not be positive to you or other students. Rumors and lies are big factors that make your fellow students upset. One last piece of advice is to respect the school. You can do little things in your school such as pick up a piece of trash outside or make sure there are no pencils left behind or on the floors around you. These three little pieces of advice will help you through the rest of your middle school days!

  3. Dear sixth graders,
This is some examples on how to be successful in seventh grade.
Firstly, homework is one example. For example, if you do your homework and always stay on track you shouldn't have any trouble with homework.
Secondly, acceptance is another example. For instance, if you show acceptance and are kind to people there is a very good chance you will have many friends.
Thirdly, the last example is to be prepared. As you may know, you should come to class prepared with the materials you are required to have in your class.
In conclusion, you should be very successful in seventh grade.

  4. If I could give advice to a sixth grader so they could be succesful in seventh grade it would be that they should do their homework, because it helps with your grade. That they should raise their hand if they don't understand something so a teacher can clarify it. Also because you could have a test next week on it. Always bring a pencil to class, because teachers get annoyed if you don't. And it brings down your grade for coming to class prepared.

  5. Coming from sixth grade to seventh grade is a big change here's some advice on how to be successful. Firstly, don’t shout out. If you shout out it disturbs the class. Secondly, you should always do your homework. By doing your homework you learn what you were taught that day. Thirdly, I will tell them to pay attention. They need to pay attention so they know what’s going on in the class. I’m determined that all the sixth grader’s will read this and be successful seventh grader’s.

  6. 7th grade is a lot harder than 6th grade, take it from experience. But I have some tips and advice that will help you get through seventh with great grades and a great experience. Firstly,if you want to do good in all of your classes it is really important to make sure that you stay focused in class and if you need to so you do not talk or distract the class do not sit near your friend. Secondly, one of the most important is to do your homework every night. Thirdly, you also need to study hard for all of your many 7th grade tests. Next, try not to chew your gum in class the end result almost every time is a lunch detention. Then,if you do get a lunch detention it is important to show up and not blow it of. Finally, make sure you have all your supplies for class sometimes if you do not have your supplies your grade will get marked down.

  7. My advice to a sixth grader is simple and will help an intense amount in 7th grade. First, speak up! It is good to always participate in class, even if you don’t know the answer for sure it isn’t hard to try. Raising your hand and participating in activities will not only help you understand the concept but also show your teacher that you are here to learn. Second, always do your homework and classwork! If you do your homework/classwork it helps alot with your grade. If you’re not that good with tests and quizzes doing your homework will help you get a great grade! If you don’t understand the homework fully don’t just give up, ask your teacher to explain it to you after class or go to the homework club which helps you tremendously. Third, respect your teachers and peers. If the teacher is talking it’s always a good idea to stop talking and focus. If you give respect to your teachers and peers they will treat you the way you want to be treated. Also, always be nice and friendly to peers. With this advice you can be a successful well rounded student in 7th grade!

  8. Dear Future 7th Grader, 3/6/2013

There are several main topics that need to be covered in order to be successful in 7th grade. You should always give your peers and the whole O’Maley staff the kindness and respect they deserve. There will be consequences if you do not obey the classroom rules or bully a fellow student in any way. Also, you have to be consistent with the classroom work and the homework. They both have a very large impact on your overall grade and if you do not do it, your grade will sink down to the bottom like a rock in water. Probably the most frequently asked question is, “How much homework do we get?” In my opinion, we do get more homework than we did in 6th grade, but not much more.

My social studies teacher Mr. Destino, has 5 rules for us to follow, or as he calls them, ‘The 5 B’s’. These 5 B’s are know as “Be Consistent”, “Be on Time”, “Be Respectful”, “Be Accountable”, and “Be Consistent”. For me, these 5 standards sum up how we are supposed to act both in 7th grade, and in life. You should always be consistent in life because if you don’t, you would have different things piling up that you never dealt with, and you could become very stressed. Also, you should always be on time because you could get into a lot of trouble for not, whether it’s that you’re late for a class, or late for a job interview, it could effect you in many ways. Probably the most useful of the 5 B’s is to be respectful. You should be respectful to your classmates, all adults, and most of all, yourself. If you follow these few easy steps, you are sure to be successful in 7th grade. Just remember to always work hard and most importantly, have fun!!

    Best wishes,

  9. My advice to the 6th graders will be the key to their success as 7th graders. Firstly, you should obviously follow the S.A.I.L.S. acronym to ensure that you are has hardworking and as kind as you can be to your teachers peers and all other staff members. Secondly, you should always, always do your homework. Not just because it will bring your grade down if you don't turn it in, it also reviews what you have learned in class and help you understand what was going on during class later that day. Thirdly, try tremendously hard to concentrate on the task at hand or whatever the teacher is talking about. It will be tough sometimes because of all the distractions of every other classmate doing what they please, but it is, and always be possible to concentrate. Not will it only help you understand what the next class worksheet will be about it will also help you to comprehend your homework. Thirdly, be as organized as you can. Not only will you be able to remember what homework to do, but it will also make sure you have all the necessities, your pencils, pens, notebooks, and folders. It will stop those 1/2 finished presentations creeping up on you and having to bang them out the night before they are do. You should always want to be successful, and it can be easier than you think by taking people's advice, including mine.
